The 1199SEIU Child Care Funds offer free seminars, workshops and camp fairs that address the needs of working parents and help members make the most of the opportunities available to their children. All events are informative, can serve as collaborative tools for you and your family, and are designed to help you better balance the demands of your career with the challenges of parenthood.

Benefits & Entitlements for Families of Special Needs Children Workshop
Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 6:00 pm
This workshop will inform families how to apply and receive benefits that help assist them with special needs children. Gary Shulman, a National Advocate and Workshop Presenter, will discuss the most effective ways to complete and submit the necessary applications. Mr. Shulman has 50 years of expertise in supporting families of special needs children. Please extend the invite to anyone you know that may need benefits or has a child with special needs.
